Towards a social network-inspired model for understanding evidence uptake and pain management in cancer care

Summary

This project is aimed at understanding treatment processes and decisions made by medical practitioners (e.g. nurses) involved in cancer care. In particular, we aim to model the role of professional networks in influencing the medical decisions and evidence uptake in cancer care by medical professionals.

Synopsis

This project involves developing a theoretical model through qualitative and quantitative techniques for understanding how social and professional peers influence medical professionals in cancer care when it comes to evidence-based uptake of clinical decisions including pain management.
