Synopsis

Access to complex surgical care is influenced by geography, socioeconomic status, and health system structure. This project will link institutional, registry, and public health datasets to identify inequities in patient referral, treatment timing, and postoperative outcomes. The student will apply epidemiological and geospatial methods to highlight barriers to equitable surgical care and propose policy or service-level interventions.
