Teacher knowledge of mathematics and how to teach it are considered determining factors in students’ mathematical achievement. If students’ learning is to improve, the professional development of teachers is the ultimate key and should be of the highest priority. This program of research aims to improve academic achievement and engagement in mathematics among primary and middle-years students by effecting generative change in teacher professional knowledge and practices.
